I was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1973. I was raised on the South Side of San Antonio until my 6th-grade year when we moved to Devine. I graduated from Devine High School in 1991 and pursued a career in the Culinary Arts. After culinary school and many years of working as a trained chef, I decided to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Science from UTSA. My wife and I have three children, Amelia, Kate, and CJ.
Having grown up in poverty and faced with extreme adversity, I understand what it takes to rise above your circumstances and become a successful and productive member of society. I believe that EVERY student deserves a fair chance at a quality education and can be successful with the right guidance. I believe it is within EVERY student to be successful!
