Miss Amy Walker

I am originally from a small, rural town in Montana. In 2001 I graduated from the University of Montana at Missoula with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I began my career in Education teaching at a small, private school in Montana where I taught First Grade for four years. In 2005 I moved to Texas as a nanny for my sister and brother-in-law. I spent a year working as a substitute teacher with Northside ISD before returning to teaching full time in 2014. I have been privileged to be a member of the Natalia Mustang family since 2014.

I am passionate about teaching and helping all of my students experience success. One of the goals I set for our classroom is that we will function as a family, taking care of one another and and being respectful of each other. Third grade is a transition year, during which students grow and change significantly. The academics requirements increase significantly, which can be a challenge for some students. I invite parent involvement in the educational process. As a teacher, I recognize the fact that we can not effectively do what we need to every day in the classroom without parental support. Please never hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns about your students progress.
