Greetings! My name is Clarissa Murillo, and I'm delighted to say this is my 6th year teaching. I grew up in Laredo, Texas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Texas in 2011 and a master’s degree in Education from Texas A&M International University in 2018. The 2019-2020 school year will be my first year at Natalia High School and I am excited to serve your community and can't wait to meet everyone!
My goal as an educator is to empower all individuals in becoming their best selves through engaging in literacy. I love all forms of literature and enjoy fostering a love for learning.
On my free time, I enjoy family time, bike riding, and writing. My biggest fears include riding rollercoasters and giving up. In summary: if I was a color, I would be the perfect combination of blue and green; if I was a super hero, I would be most like Captain Marvel because; if I was a book, I would be The Lord of the Rings: The Two towers by J.R.R. Tolkien; if I was a quote, I would be Mahatma Gandhi’s words: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
